Elderly man dies in possible hit-and-run
Police are investigating a possible hit-and-runcrash that left a man dead in Lompoc.
Police were called to the intersection of College and I streets just after 6 a.m. on Wednesday. When officers arrived, they found an elderly man with injuries to his head and other extremities.
Paramedics also arrived but were unable to revive the victim. Investigators said the man’s injuries are consistent with being struck by a vehicle.
The victim’s identity has not been released.
