Two sexual assault attempts near university
The San Luis Obispo Police Department is investigating a pair of assaults that took place over the weekend.
They say the first assault happened in the 1200 block of Foothill Boulevard and the second assault on the 700 block of the same street.
Police say the college age women were approached by a 19 or 20 year old man who unsuccessfully tried to remove their underwear; the suspect is accused of sexually assaulting a third victim.
Police say last March and April two similar assaults happened near the Cal Poly University campus. No word yet if the same suspect is involved.
