2013: Actress Amy Adams receives Cinema Vanguard Award
Glitz and glamor at Santa Barbara’s International Film Festival Thursday night as Amy Adams walked the red carpet.
Hundreds of fans turned out for the well publicized event.
The actress received this year’s Cinema Vanguard Award for her artistic risks and significant contributions to film. The annual honor is bestowed during the 11 day long event.
Adams is a four time Academy Award nominee. She garnered a best supporting actress Oscar nod for her performance in “The Master.”
Movie goers, especially parents of young girls, may remember Adams’ breakout role in Disney’s “Enchancted.”
Adams also appeared in “The Fighter” and “Trouble with the Curve.” She was cast to star as Lois Lane in the new Superman movie, “Man of Steel,” which is slated for release in June.
