Ventura Hopes To Shine At Travel Show

Travel shows have always been a boost to Ventura’s bottom line.That’s why Ventura plans to have a bigger presence at one of the world’s largest travel shows.The Ventura Visitors and Convention Bureau plans to attract tourists to town at the 8th Los Angeles Travel and Adventure show this weekend in Long Beach.The bureau will be joined by Islands Packers and Channel Islands Outfitters too.Guest speakers include Jean-Michel Cousteau and Rick Steves and even the host of The Bachelor.And one lucky visitor will win a grand prize trip to Ventura.The bureau’s new Executive Director Marlyss Munguia Auster says Ventura is the kind of relaxing vacation spot where you won’t need a vacation from your vacation.She says there are uncrowded beaches, great restaurants and outdoor activities.The show is also a great place to meet film and TV producers looking for locations.The bureau located on California Street is considered a one stop shop for Hollywood.Travel ShowVentura Visitors & Convention BureauShare your comments about this story with us on the KEY News Facebook page.
