Royals Rout Dons In High School Hoops

They scored just five first quarter points but San Marcos shook off a poor start and blew out Santa Barbara 61-42 to move to 2-1 in the Channel League. The Royals used a 12-0 scoring run in the second quarter to take the lead for good as they went into halftime up 24-21. San Marcos dominated the second half and cruised to victory over a Dons team that was without star Emilio Gonzalez. He picked up two technical fouls on Wednesday and was forced to sit out as Santa Barbara fell to 1-2 in league. Bryce Ridenour scored a game-high 20 points for San Marcos while Jack Baker tallied a team-high 11 for the Dons.
