Price for ‘Two Buck Chuck’ Goes Up
For the first time since its release more than a decade ago, the price of Trader Joe’s award-winning Charles Shaw wine, also known as “two-buck chuck,” is going up. Instead of $1.99, Californians will have to spend $2.49 for a bottle. The golden state was the last remaining holdout to sell the wine for under two dollars. But Trader Joe’s says it had to raise the price due to increased costs. More than five million bottles of “two buck chuck” are sold each year.
