Gunmen Hold Hostages in Mall Near L.A.X.

LOS ANGELES – A four hour, overnight hostage ordeal ended at 3:00 am Friday morning in the Promenade at Howard Hughes Center near L.A.X.According to the Associated Press, at least two men armed with guns walked into the Nordstrom Rack before 11 pm Thursday night. One woman was able to phone her boyfriend, who then called 9-1-1.Police say one of the hostages suffered a stab wound to the neck, but the injury is not life-threatening. Police say at least one other person was sexually assaulted. A SWAT team stormed the department store hours later, but the gunmen were gone. It is unclear how the suspects escaped.Police are now staged nearby in Culver City where they’re investigating an SUV as the possible getaway vehicle.
