Golf Course Crime Arrest

Police made an arrest in a golf course burglary, assault and hit-and-run.Ventura Police arrested Karl McMillin of Ventura.The 48-year-old is suspected of committing the crimes at Olivas Links Golf Course the morning of December 28th.That’s when Craig Colton noticed his wallet missing from his golf bag.Colton chased the man toward the parking lot and broke his car window with a club.Police say Colton’s son Matthew ran after the car to confront the suspect. The driver ran into him before driving away.The 30-year-old was treated for injuries.An alert citizen helped police identify McMillin and the damaged vehicle used in the crime.Investigators believe McMillin has been frequenting golf courses throughout the county and committing similar thefts for the past several months.
