Dons Cheer Team Heading To Nationals

Santa Barbara High School Dons Cheer Team is heading to Nationals.On Saturday, the team won first place in the USA Regionals in San Juan Capistrano in the Varsity Show Cheer Novice Division. The team also won first place in the High School Cheer Stunting Intermediate Division. They have now qualified for USA Nationals in both categories. “This was an amazing start to our season,” said head coach Jenn Lemons. “Our goal was to qualify for Nationals, while placing as best as possible. Our squad pulled together and performed well.”The Santa Barbara High School Dons are four-time defending USA regional champions and the current nationals champion for its division. The competition cheer team includes 32 team members and the stunt team has five members.
