California Grown Flowers Cover Award Winning Parade Floats

A lot of those flowers seen in the Rose Parade on Tuesday are grown here in the Golden State. The City of South Pasadena Tournament of Roses Committee has the oldest self-built float in the parade. South Pasadena’s entry, ‘Sailing the Sea of Knowledge’, is covered in more than 90-percent California grown flowers. They received the Founders Award for most beautiful float built & decorated by volunteers from a community.Cal-Poly Universities float entitled ‘Tuxedo Air’ used all certified California grown flowers a well. This entry was awarded the Bob Hope Humor prize.
