UPDATE: Alcohol Involved In Rollover Accident, Snarling Sunday Traffic

A two vehicle rollover accident just after 6 p.m. Sunday night sent at least three people to the hospital and snarled traffic for several hours.It occurred along the northbound lane of Highway 101 at Arroyo Quemada, just north of Refugio Beach.The CHP tells KEY News, alcohol and drugs were a factor in the crash. Investigators say it occurred after an erratic driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a Ford Excursion, causing them both to rollover.One person involved suffered a critical head injury, two others were severely injured. All 3 were rushed to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Among the injured was an unidentified male suspect who was arrested for DUI. Some motorists reportedly pulled over to assist before Santa Barbara County Fire, AMR and the CHP arrived on scene.The number two northbound lane of the 101 was eventually opened around 6:45 p.m.
