U.S.S. Halsey in Santa Barbara

Just days before the 11th Anniversary of 9/11, the Santa Barbara Navy League is hosting a fund raising event honoring members of the U.S.S. Halsey.The event will be a unique opportunity for the public to greet the men and women of the Halsey as they enjoy appetizers, wine, beverages and live music.The guided missile destroyer has around 280 sailors on board.For many, it’s their first time visiting Santa Barbara.They have softball games planned this weekend, along with a Regatta on Sunday.The Honor and Remember reception will take place on Saturday from 5:30 to 7:30pm, at the Reagan Ranch Center in downtown Santa Barbara.
