Taser Attack In Isla Vista
The campus of UC Santa Barbara is on alert following an alleged Taser attack.An emergency e-mail and text message went out to all students early this morning. Authorities say eight suspects approached two people lying on hammocks on El Embarcadero at Sabado Tarde early Saturday morning. One of the suspects deployed a Taser, hitting a victim. Two other suspects were carrying knives. Authorities say the attack appears to be a random act of violence. Anyone with information regarding this assault is urged to contact the UCSB Police Department.
