Quake Preparedness at School

The Ventura County Grand Jury found fault with the lack of earthquake preparedness at some schools.The Grand Jury issued a report today called, “Earthquake Safety in The Classroom. “Jurors say elementary and middle schools in El Rio and Santa Paula need to do more duck and cover drillsThey also say Ojai and Rio school districts should stock at least three days of food and water provisions in case of emergency.Rio School District’s Interim Superintendent says he has not read the entire report, but he believes that it never hurts to review safety drills for all emergencies.You can read the Grand Jury report on Ventura County’s website.Ventura County
