Primary Election Just Hours Away
Santa Barbara- The June 5th Primary Election is just hours away. California voters will decide which candidates will move on to November’s general election. However unlike years past, the top two vote-getters from each contest will win, regardless of party affiliation.All candidates running for the same seat are listed together on one primary ballot, so you can vote for any candidate, regardless of which party you’re registered under. Tomorrow’s primary includes a Congressional race, Senate race, and county supervisors up for election. Also on the ballot, some very important measures including Measure X and W that deal with school funding, and Measure Y that considers construction of a bridge on undeveloped land. Polls open at 7 a.m. Tuesday, and will remain open until 8 p.m. If you still have a vote by mail ballot, don’t put it in the mail, you’re encouraged to drop it at a polling place on election day.
