Plane to Portland

Santa Barbara County – Portland, Oregon just got a lot closer.A new summertime service has begun at the Santa Barbara Airport.Between June 4th and August 25th Alaska Airlines is offering direct flights from Santa Barbara to Portland, Oregon.Passengers aboard the ‘sold out’ inaugural flight were given goody-bags as a thank you for taking advantage of the new opportunity. “Alaska Airlines has a wonderful plane and great service. It has been a very popular route and we’re really happy to have it back and we’d like to see people come out and use it,” said Tracy Lincoln, Airport Operations Manager.The Santa Barbara Airport used to offer direct flights to Portland, Oregon all year long and airport officials hope they will soon be able to offer that service again in the near future.The first flight left SBA Monday at 11:40 am.
