Meeting to Discuss Proposed Land Plans for Los Padres National Forest

Forest Service Officials are seeking the public’s comments on a proposed land management plan. The proposed amendment would modify the existing land use zones for The Los Padres National Forest. The modifications would include adding more back country and wilderness areas where motorized vehicles can not be used. At the meeting, Forest Service Staff Officers will be available to answer questions and show maps of the proposed changes. The public meeting will be held from four to seven Tuesday evening at E.P. Foster Library in Ventura. It’s located at 651 East Main Street. If you are unable to attend the meeting but would still like to comment on the issue.
