Local Red Cross Helping with Relief Efforts from Super Storm
The local chapters of the American Red Cross say their phones are ringing with calls from residents who want to help with relief efforts from the super storm in the east. The number one form of aid residents can provide is a financial donation. That will help to pay for “meals, blankets, shelter, gas,” and more says Dean Phaneuf with the Red Cross. He also says this storm will have impacts that will carry on for weeks, and the local officials will likely need to send some staff members to the 16 states soaked by the storm.
