In Focus: The Women’s Fund of Santa Barbara
The Women’s Fund of Santa Barbara is an all-volunteer group of women who combine their charitable donations to make a bigger impact on the community than most of us would be able to do on our own. Members decide by vote where the collected funds will be distributed each spring. Grants have totaled $3.6 million to 47 agencies since it began in 2004. Membership has grown from 68 members that first year to nearly 600 in 2011. KEY News Reporter Sara Bush sat down with Carol Palladini, the Founding Chair of the Women’s Fund of Santa Barbara, and Linda Guerena, the Coordinator and Lead Facilitator for The Parent Project, and two-time Women’s Fund grant recipient, in this week’s In Focus.
