Home Sales Up, Prices Steady
New Dataquick numbers show that May real estate sales in Ventura County soared more than 43 percent since May of last year.Dataquick says Ventura County’s median price dipped slightly to 360 thousand dollars.That’s just 500 dollars less than the same time last year.Realtor Walter Trujillo of Century 21 Coastal Investments in Port Hueneme is glad to hear that home sales are up.But Trujillo says there are not enough homes for sale in his market.He says the few home for sale in Port Hueneme are selling fast with multiple offers.Trujillo says now is a good time for home owners to think about selling and moving up to larger homes.He also says low interest mortgages payments are likely to be less than your average rent.
