Chumash Meeting

Right now the Chumash Resort Hotel and Casino says it offers alcoholic beverages in two of its restaurants, but its request to add alcoholic beverage service to its showroom– only during dining events– is the question of concern.With permission from the state the Chumash Casino Resort now serves alcoholic beverages in its Willows Restaurant and Creekside Buffet but with its latest request alcohol service may be expanded to include the entire resort hotel complex and the hotel.Alcohol Beverage Control is recommending conditional approval.. the restrictions include… currently Chumash concerts, bingo games and hotel rooms don’t include alcoholic beverage service.This weeks hearings though closed to the media… allows the community the opportunity to respond to the Chumash request…outside there was reaction.A spokesperson for the Chumash Casino Resort says currently there are no violations on its liquor licenses. The state says after the hearing process an administrative law judge will take the concerns into consideration and render a decision regarding the Chumash request in about 30 days.Currently the Chumash Casino Resort Hotel is closed for renovations and is set to re-open to the public by mid-December.
