Child Annoyance Arrest

A man accused of child annoyance at the Ventura Library on Main Street is behind bars. Police arrested John Henry White of Santa Paula.They say information from 13 and 14-year-old girls Thursday afternoon helped them catch the suspect quickly.The teens says White made vulgar comments and told one of them she should be in the adult film industry.They also say he hugged one of them and kissed their hand before they ran to get help.The 44-year-old suspect has a lengthy prior record involving battery.Librarian Mary Stewart says he had not been seen at the library before.Investigators say there may be more victims out there.If a stranger approaches your child–don’t assume it was nothing and report what your child tells you to the police.
