Car Into House Injures Driver

SANTA BARBARA – A 22-year-old Santa Barbara man drove his car into the house of an elderly woman on the Mesa, just after 9:00 Thursday morning. KEY News has learned, the accident sheds light on a growing drug problem in our community.The crash happened on the 600 block of Aurora Avenue. Santa Barbara Police say the driver overdosed on heroin and passed out moments before crashing into the home. The elderly homeowner was out of the house at the time of the crash.
