SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The Tuesday Farmers' Market in Santa Barbara had a new look.

Normally the set up is over two blocks starting at Haley St.

Yesterday it started at Cota St. and went up past De la Guerra St. into the 900 block.

Farmers waited for city crews to finish part of a street improvement project and brought their vehicles in through a gap in newly added decorative palm trees sitting on wooden bases.

The new area has plenty of shade for the crops with the taller Paseo Nuevo mall and the Balboa Building.

One farmer Mike Iniguez says he like his new site a little further up the block and saw new faces.

"We are not in the same place with the same vendors.  So I like this one. We can meet the new people,  the new customers,  sometimes many  customers go straight to one vendor. Now they just looking for the vendors. So they can see different people. I like it, " he said.

Each stand continued to have signage and COVID-19 rules.

Customers and sellers were also wearing masks Tuesday as required by the County Health Officer.
