Families enjoy holiday open house featuring Santa Claus and his “rein-goats”

GOLETA, Calif. - Families and kids enjoyed a holiday open house featuring Santa Claus and his “rein-goats” in Goleta on Saturday.

Kids of all ages experienced holiday music and caroling, craft-making and tours of the festive Stow House.

They also had a chance for some story-time and holiday hayrides.

But the highlight of the open house seemed to be the adorable goats who came to give Santa's reindeer a break.

“They're Santa's reingoats. Santa needed a ride and the goats came to help out,” said goat girl Linda Mengel who brought the goats.

If you missed it, there's still time to come by on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Stowe House which is located at 304 North Los Carneros Road in Goleta.
