Ellen Degeneres

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Montecito resident and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has tested positive for COVID-19. She says she's feeling fine.

DeGeneres made the announcement on twitter.

"Anyone who has bee in close contact with me has been notified," she wrote. "And I am following proper CDC guidelines."

In recent weeks DeGeneres welcomed an audience back into her studio for her talk show. The audience was required to wear a mask and were sitting socially distanced. DeGeneres was not wearing a mask while hosting or interviewing celebrities or other guests.

DeGeneres and the show will not return until after the holidays, according to her tweet.
