Santa Maria ER doctor uses military experience for pandemic planning

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Emergency Department Director Dr. Paul Webber with the Marian Regional Medical Center is a retired Navy Lieutenant.

As the coronavirus pandemic continues, he is using his vast experience in International Health and Disaster Medicine Management to help Marian make preparations.

Dr. Webber has helped with several Medical Clinics in third world countries and has extensive experience in preparedness planning.

This planning is helping Marian Regional Medical Center with preparation for a possible COVID-19 surge.

Dr. Webber also helped erect triage & treatment tents, set up communication networks and separated the Emergency Department into a warm zone for COVID-19 patients and a regular side for typical emergencies.
