Santa Ynez, Calif. - Temperatures are mild Friday, but dropping dramatically over the weekend. Plan to wear layers Friday with a cool morning and pleasant afternoon. You'll want to dig your jacket back out Saturday and keep it handy Sunday. With an upper low passing by Sunday, there is a slight chance of light rain showers as well. Rain totals will stay under a quarter of an inch.

If you're headed to dinner Friday night for Santa Ynez Restaurant Week, temperatures will be around 64 degrees at 5:00 pm. By 7:00 pm, it will be in the mid 50s. And by 9:00 when you're grabbing a night cap, temperatures will be chilly in the upper 40s. With around two dozen restaurants to choose from, you can't go wrong! Wind will be a bit breezy in the evening as well.

For all the surfers and spectators out there, it will be a chilly finale to the SLO Cal Open at Pismo Beach. Highs will drop a little each day, starting in the mid 60s Friday, low 60s Saturday, and mid 50s Sunday. Cloud cover will increase bit by bit throughout the weekend, starting sunny on Friday and ending mostly cloudy on Sunday with that chance of sprinkles. It's a great chance to see world-class surfers, but you'll want to bring an extra beach blanket to bundle up in!
